The Company Takes a Top Spot in the SVUS Awards
SonoSim, Inc., has been named the Globee® Award Gold Winner in the category of Local Office Achievement of the Year for its comprehensive OB-GYN ultrasound training curriculum. SonoSim competed against many organizations nationwide, including both publicly and privately owned large, medium, and small businesses, to win the highest level of Globee Award, the “world’s premier Global Business Awards.”
SonoSim was recognized for its launch of the most comprehensive computer-based OB-GYN training curriculum ever released. The curriculum delivers over 55 hours of training in 14 module topics through cloud-based courses and tests. Included are over 125+ simulation-based, real-patient scanning cases in the patented SonoSimulator®. Medical schools and residency programs are also offered SonoSim® Performance Tracker to monitor learner achievements.
“Creating an extensive OB-GYN curriculum to help medical institutions and professionals match new industry norms has been a pleasure, and we look forward to growing our network of 30,000 users and over 400 institutions,” said Nicole Durden, SonoSim Senior Vice President of Global Operations & Strategic Initiatives. “It’s an honor for our team to be recognized with a Globee Award.”
The creation of the SonoSim OB-GYN training program is especially significant given the recently announced, industry-endorsed OB-GYN training recommendations. Recently, the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) assembled a multi-society taskforce of experts to develop a standardized curriculum and competency evaluation process for OB-GYN residency programs. Sensing the gap between available OB-GYN ultrasound training materials and the expansive AIUM recommendations, SonoSim tailored its OB-GYN training program to match all 400+ learning objectives and competency assessment metrics outlined by the AIUM taskforce.
“Our team has put meticulous effort into ensuring that our educational curriculum matched every learning objective and assessment metric recommended by the AIUM taskforce,” said Durden. “We truly believe that our comprehensive OB-GYN training program will prepare and empower medical practitioners to provide women with the best healthcare possible.”
