This Upper Airway: Anatomy & Physiology Module begins with an overview of the role of ultrasound in the evaluation of the upper airway. A brief overview of upper airway anatomy and physiology is provided. The sonographic anatomy of the upper airway is described in detail. Optimal transducer selection, patient positioning, imaging approaches, and techniques for sonographically evaluating the upper airway are discussed. The course concludes with imaging tips and pitfalls and a summary of salient teaching points.
The SonoSimulator® provides you the opportunity to virtually scan real-patient ultrasound cases. Each Anatomy & Physiology module delivers a minimum of three normal (organ-specific) cases for hands-on training. The Upper Airway: Anatomy & Physiology module provides a broad spectrum of adult and pediatric normal anatomy cases with varying body morphologies to maximize training efficacy. Each individual hands-on training case is accompanied by image window-specific expert instruction and probe-positioning guidance.
SonoSim is an integrated ultrasound training program that offers engaging didactic courses, hands-on training, and knowledge assessment. Become more comfortable scanning and recognizing pathology from real patients in a risk-free environment using the SonoSimulator®.
