The Easiest Way to Learn & Teach Echocardiography
SonoSim's cardiac ultrasound training was created to empower healthcare professionals with the skills and expertise needed for acquiring exceptional cardiac ultrasound imaging. Whether you train cardiac sonographers in a DMS program, want to develop echocardiography skills in aspiring cardiologists, or provide focused cardiac ultrasound (FOCUS) education in a point-of-care setting - SonoSim can help. Our expansive & immersive curriculum encompasses a diverse range of echocardiography topics, including cardiac anatomy, echocardiography techniques, assessment of cardiac function, and examination of pathologic conditions. Through interactive modules, cutting-edge simulation technology, and pathologic case studies, SonoSim offers an immersive learning experience that enables you to master the intricacies of echocardiography, including essential cardiac ultrasound views.
With a dedicated focus on cardiac assessment and diagnosis, our content equips you with the knowledge to accurately interpret cardiac ultrasound images, identify cardiac abnormalities, and evaluate cardiac function. SonoSim's one-of-a-kind platform integrates virtual patient cases and hands-on scanning practice, allowing you to refine your technique and enhance your proficiency in cardiac ultrasound.
Each topic includes a course, scanning cases, knowledge checks and a Mastery Exam. Learners collect certificates, create cardiac ultrasound image portfolios and can claim CME* if desired.
The standardized structure for each topic delivers against the key learning objectives for achieving cardiac ultrasound competency, including:
- Cardiac Ultrasound Exam Indications
- Regional Anatomy & Physiology
- Echocardiographic Anatomy
- Scanning Technique for Echocardiography
- Echocardiography Tips & Pitfalls
- Pathologic Case Studies
POCUS & DMS Protocol Scanning Assignments Customized scanning assignments are provided based upon whether learners are pursuing diagnostic medical sonography (DMS), echocardiography, or focused ultrasound (FOCUS) training in a point-of-care setting. DMS Protocol Scanning Assignments are available for many topics/protocols. |
Standardized Echocardiography Education
& Virtual Cardiac Ultrasound Scanning of Real Pathology
Add or Expand Expertise with our Cardiac Ultrasound Training
SonoSim helps programs deliver high-quality, standardized echocardiography training and virtual cardiac ultrasound scanning practice. Our ultrasound education ecosystem is tailored to help programs meet American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) and CAAHEP curricular guidelines for performing echocardiography and cardiac sonography education.
Basic cardiac anatomy & physiology and commonly encountered pathologic conditions are presented in our introductory online course, which comes with virtual echocardiographic scanning cases using basic cardiac imaging windows. Commonly encountered pathologic scanning cases are also provided.
An in-depth overview of advanced imaging windows and views is provided, along with Doppler applications including assessment of CO, SV, RAP, pRVSP, MAP, and stenotic and regurgitant valvular disorders. We've also included a comprehensive overview of cardiac chamber quantification, closely matching ASE guidelines, as well as assessment of LV mass, systolic function, and regional motion; LV and RV ventricular and atrial size; aortic root; thoracic aorta; and IVC.
SonoSim adds new content to expand cardiac ultrasound knowledge and virtual echocardiographic scanning through our Challenge Cases and Question bank functionality.
Extensive Cardiac Ultrasound Training
Echocardiography Expertise Development
Our immersive learning environment supports & accelerates each learner's journey to successfully performing cardiac ultrasound across a variety of applications. Learners can acquire the clinical acumen and technical expertise to confidently interpret cardiac ultrasound images, identify abnormalities, and make informed patient care decisions.
Echocardiography is an operator-dependent technology, and individual learners have varied learning styles. SonoSim learners are immersed in multimedia ultrasound training that includes: audio, ultrasound videos, text, illustrations, and pathologic cardiac ultrasound case studies, taking learning to a whole new level.
With the SonoSimulator, learners have unparalleled opportunities to engage with cardiac ultrasound scanning cases from real patients via the SonoSimulator probe. Virtual scanning of real pathologic cases enables them to develop solid image acquisition & interpretation skills.
