The SonoSimulator® Hands-On Training
Training is achieved using a handheld SonoSim® Probe connected to a personal computer, creating a virtual patient-imaging environment. The SonoSimulator® allows you to select training cases from the SonoSim® Case Library and practice scanning a myriad of pathological and normal anatomy patients.
What surface can I scan on?
The SonoSim® Probe does not require pressure from a surface in order to scan; however, using a surface to apply pressure is recommended. We suggest any of the following techniques:

Free Scan Using the Screen.
Hold the probe in your dominant hand and rotate the probe while focusing on the corresponding virtual probe, body, and resultant imagery.
Scan on Your Hand or a Scan Pad.
Use your non-dominant hand or a scan pad as a fixed point of contact for scanning.

Scan on a Live Volunteer.
Have a volunteer lie down adjacent to the laptop in alignment with the long axis of the virtual body and serve as a live model.
Scan on a Training Mannequin.
Position a physical, inanimate mannequin adjacent to the laptop in alignment with the long axis of the virtual body.
