Yes! SonoSim Modules offer AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. The Modules also fulfill the requirements of the ARDMS Accepted Continuing Education Evaluation Model System (AACEEMS) Checklist and are recognized by ARDMS towards CME credit. The amount of CME credit offered varies per Module and can be found on our Store at sonosim.com/shop.
The SonoSim Ultrasound Training Solution is located wherever you are, provided you have internet access! SonoSim is accessed on your personal computer over the cloud. SonoSim is headquartered in Santa Monica, California; however, there is no physical location where SonoSim regularly holds classes.
Is SonoSim an accredited diagnostic medical sonography (DMS) school? Can I become certified to perform ultrasounds online with SonoSim?
The SonoSim Ultrasound Training Solution is a great adjunct to your ultrasound education, but SonoSim itself is not an accredited DMS school and does not offer diagnostic medical sonography degrees. For more information on becoming a registered diagnostic medical sonographer in the United States, visit the ARDMS website: www.ardms.org.
The SonoSim Personal Solution is available through an annual term membership. Members will have access to online SonoSim Courses, hands-on training cases, bi-monthly challenge cases, and discounts for 12 months from the time of license activation. They will also receive ongoing member support and free software updates for the term of their membership.
I don’t see a module I am interested in. Will more SonoSim Modules be added to the library in the future?

Standard shipping time is within five business days of a confirmed online order. Please expect additional days for the shipment to make its way to your destination. If for any reason you would like to return your product, SonoSim offers a 14-day money back guarantee on SonoSim Personal Solutions purchases within USA and Canada, provided that CME Credit has not already been claimed; and a 30-day money back guarantee on SonoSim Personal Solutions that have not been activated. If you lose your SonoSim Probe, the cost of a replacement is $1,000.
SonoSim will work with customers to repair or replace accidentally damaged SonoSim Probes. Customers will receive a price quote following receipt and analysis of the damaged Probe by our technical staff. If you find the price quote acceptable, SonoSim will repair and ship the Probe back to you.
The SonoSim Courses are delivered online through a web browser or via the SonoSim App.

My antivirus software reports that my new SonoSim purchase contains a potentially dangerous program. What is happening?
Some antivirus software may falsely report that certain SonoSim files might be malicious, namely because they do not have those files in their whitelist database yet. SonoSim encourages protecting your PC from viruses, spyware and other forms of malicious software; however, it is not necessary to run anti-virus and other security applications while you are installing or running the SonoSim Ultrasound Training Solution.
Anti-virus applications may interfere with programs that interact with hardware, such as the SonoSim Probe, and can cause a range of problems from sensor connection issues to the application not launching correctly. Please set your antivirus software to “Game Mode” or disable protection prior to installing and launching the SonoSim Ultrasound Training Solution if you are experiencing problems.
We are actively registering the SonoSim Ultrasound Training Solution on an ongoing basis with antivirus and firewall software vendors to ensure fewer false positives involving our products appear in the future.
Chromebooks do not support SonoSimulator® software installation. However, SonoSim courses can be accessed on a Chromebook through your web browser. Please view System Requirements for computer specifications for installation.
Installation & Troubleshooting
Installing the SonoSim Ultrasound Training Solution:
- Plug the SonoSim Drive into your computer.
- Launch the appropriate installation program.
- For Windows: Run Windows_InstallSonoSim.exe
- For Mac OS X: Run Mac_InstallSonoSim.pkg
- Follow the installation instructions.
How do I start the SonoSim software?
- Plug in your SonoSim Probe.
- Launch the application from the SonoSim icon located on your desktop or in your toolbar.

Installation of the SonoSim application has completed on my Mac, but I get an error message when attempting to open the application. What should I do next?
We suggest disconnecting all USB devices, including the installation flash drive and the SonoSim probe. Next, restart your computer, connect your probe, and click on the SonoSimLauncher icon.
Why am I getting a message that my computer requires additional configuration to use the connected SonoSim probe?
If the account you used to access your computer is not an administrator account, please contact your system administrator or IT team and have them run the SonoSim application as an administrator. The software will automatically configure the computer to work with your SonoSim probe. After the computer is configured, you will not need administrator access again as long as you continue to use the same probe on this computer.
