SonoSim publishes 18 curriculum mappings covering standards from the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM), the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM), the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM), the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), the Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound (SRU), and the Alliance of Medical Student Educators in Radiology (AMSER). International standards from Sonography Canada, the European Society for Emergency Medicine (EUSEM), the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (RCEM), the Canadian Internal Medicine Ultrasound (CIMUS) group, and the Canadian Ultrasound Consensus for Undergraduate Medical Education Group are also included.

What is included in each curriculum mapping?

Each mapping lists the requirements or curricular elements of a specific published standard, then identifies the SonoSim content that addresses each one. That includes Interactive Course modules, SonoSimulator® scanning cases, and assessments. The documents are organized around the structure of the standard itself rather than around the SonoSim catalog, so you can work through them the same way a reviewer would.

Are the SonoSim curriculum mappings free to download?

Yes. Every mapping on this page is a free PDF download with no form to complete and no account required. You do not need a SonoSim subscription to view them.

Do the mappings cover standards outside the United States?

Yes. Five of the 18 mappings address non-US standards, covering Canada, the United Kingdom, and Europe. These include Sonography Canada for diagnostic medical sonography, EUSEM and RCEM for emergency medicine, the Canadian Internal Medicine Ultrasound group for internal medicine, and the Canadian Ultrasound Consensus for Undergraduate Medical Education Group for medical students.

Can these mappings support accreditation or program review?
